Torres Toothless As Liverpool Win

Fernando Torress looked toothless as Chelsea went down 1-0 to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the latter of the Sunday afternoon kickoffs.
With Torres making his Chelsea debut against his former team, Chelsea fans seemed confident of an easy three points.
Dagleish's men however had a shock in store for the Home team.
After a first half, with chances few and far between, Torres first fired wide before strangling a one on one chance, blocked by the returning Jamie Carragher.
Liverpool handled there ex-talisman well, as Torres was forced to drift wider and wider to get any sort of on-ball action.
Chelsea's defence looked frail throughout, and with 69 minutes on the clock were forced to really ponder their discipline, where a mistake at the near post between Cech and his defence led to the ball dropping to Meireles who fired in from 6 yards.
Chelsea never really looked at the races in this game as Torres was substituted for Soloman Kalou.
Another all round poor display from the Home side leaving them 10 points adrift of top of the table Manchester United, with the leaders still having a game in hand.
If Chelsea are to retain their Premier League title they are going to have to put in some untouchable displays between now and the end of the season and hope the three teams above them struggle to retain the form they have shown so far this year.
Ferguson will be breathing a sigh of relief after his team looked lackluster against lowly Wolves yesterday.
Ancelotti will now start to wonder if the Premiership title is still within his grasp.
