- 1). Open an Internet browser of your choice by double-clicking one of the shortcuts, and then log in to your "phpMyAdmin" account and click the "Database" list.
- 2). Click a "WordPress" database from the list and the "Small" icon near the "wp_users" row, which is in the Action column.
- 3). Read the first line on the next screen that opens. This shows a list of people registered on your blog. User ID 1 is your ID---the blog owner. The long string of numbers under the "user_pass" column is your password.
- 4). Click the "Pen" icon and delete the long string of characters inside the "Value" box. This is next to the "user_pass" on the Details Screen, which shows up under User Details.
- 5). Type a new password in the box and select "MD5" from the drop-down menu under the Functions column.
- 6). Double-check that you entered your new password correctly and click the "Go" button at the bottom of the screen. Your new password will display under the Changed Password section. Log out of your phpMyAdmin account to complete the process.
