I have worked from home for 8 years and I absolutely love it! I am going to give you the advantages and disadvantages that I have run across in these 8 years. I'm sure as you look these over you will come up with some of your own.
Advantages of working from home:
‚¬ Set your hours of operation (wake up when you want to)
‚¬ Time Freedom (family, beach, exercise, me, volunteer in community)
‚¬ Work in your pajamas (no need for work cloths)
‚¬ No limit on income (Set a $ goal)
‚¬ Get paid for what you do
‚¬ NO BOSS
‚¬ No employees
‚¬ Travel (work from anywhere as long as you are disciplined)
‚¬ Tax write-offs (cell phone, land phone, internet, computer, computer software, meals with business associates, travel, television used in business, mileage on car, office supplies, portion of home used for office, portion of electricity, water and house expenses and the list goes on) (Always check with your accountant)
‚¬ Save money (less gasoline, wear and tear on the vehicle, clothes)
‚¬ Quite time (get more work done in a less amount of time and can work anytime, if I can't sleep I go to work)
‚¬ Less stress (more relaxed and more productive)
‚¬ Passion for what you do-Do what you have a passion for
‚¬ When you hit a goal in your business (have a prearranged celebration with your family, that way the family will be more supportive of what you do)
‚¬ Get family involved with your business (there are always things family members can do to help you out)
‚¬ No traffic
‚¬ Eat at home ( healthier, lose weight, save money)
‚¬ I get to work with my husband
‚¬ Help others do what you do (make a difference in others lives)
‚¬ Work with people you enjoy
‚¬ Work that makes you happy
‚¬ I am in control
‚¬ Personal growth
‚¬ Having fun

Disadvantages of working from home:
‚¬ Be disciplined (No time clock-no one to tell you to go to work)
‚¬ Distraction-(separating housework and home life from business)
‚¬ Home alone (isolation)
‚¬ Working too many hours (work needs to be done, so I do it)
‚¬ Asking family members to do to much
