Guide Review - BlueAnt Supertooth 3 Bluetooth Hands Free Speakerphone
The Supertooth 3 is very easy to set up and pair with a cell phone. The Quick Start guides you through the steps to getting the device turned on and paired with your cell phone. I do advise that you charge the device first before trying to get it working.
The only issue during set-up that I ran into is my particular cell phone wouldn’t allow the Supertooth 3 to download my contacts. What is pretty useful though is that BlueAnt provides steps in the Quick Start Guide to manually transfer your contacts to the Supertooth 3. There is an additional section in the User Guide for Smart phones and Blackberry owners. They also state that not all phones have the capability to transfer this information.
While reading through the information (as I had hoped I could manually transfer my contacts), I did learn that the Supertooth 3 can be used with Macs and PCs in headset or hands free mode which can be useful if you use a VoIP program.
When setting up the device you also have the option to select which language you would like the device to use – British English, American English, French, Italian, Spanish or German. For fun I selected British English.
One of the best features of the Supertooth 3 is that you can set it to voice activation mode only. This way you don’t even have to worry about pressing the buttons to answer or disconnect from your calls. You do have to remember to activate Voice activation before you take any calls. I suggest that once you are settled in your vehicle to set the Supertooth 3 to voice activation. Then when the Supertooth 3 lets you know there is an incoming call you just have to respond with one of four choices (Accept Call, Accept, Answer, OK) to begin your call.
Now you can easily comply with hands free legislation and not worry that you won't be heard or hear the other party when you do need to take a call.
