- The Torino was an intermediate-size car produced by Ford Motor Co. It debuted in 1968 and eventually replaced the Fairlane in Ford' s lineup. Production stopped after the 1976 model year. The 1969 Torino came in several models, including the Talladega, which was built for NASCAR racing and had a slightly different body style for better aerodynamics.
- The base model of the 1969 Torino came with a 250-cubic-inch six-cylinder engine. Options included a V8 with either 302, 351, 390 or 428 cubic inches. Horsepower ranged from 155 in the six-cylinder model to 335 in the 428-cubic-inch V8. The base model had a three-speed manual transmission. A four-speed manual transmission and a three-speed automatic transmission were optional.
- The 1969 Torino was 206 inches long, 74.6 inches wide and 74.6 inches high. It had a wheelbase of 116 inches and its weight ranged from about 3,100 to 3,500 lbs., depending on the body style and options. The Torino was available in several body styles, including two-door hardtop, fastback, convertible and station wagon.
- The 1969 Torino came with either bucket or bench seats, except for the Talladega, which featured only bench seats. Other options included power windows and power disc brakes, an in-dash tachometer, a hood scoop, beefed-up suspension and styled steel wheels.
