It all begins with a small gym named Average Joe's that is behind on their payments.
The many people who call the gym home are willing to try many things to keep it.
They even try having a car wash.
Finally they decide to enter the local dodge ball competition.
The state team winner will gain fifty-thousand dollars, enough money to keep the gym on it's feet.
Around the corner is a huge rival gym, Global Gym which has state of the art equipment and enters the dodge ball competition every year.
Members at Global Gym are obsessed with working out and have the bodies to prove it.
Average Joe's is a gathering place to hang out with some friends.
One day the bank sends a representative to organize the files to find out where the money is going.
Luckily, she played softball in the past and has the arm to prove it.
They find a man named Patches who agrees to train the new team on how to play dodge ball.
They win their first competition by default since one of the opponents was found to be taking steroids.
Through much training, they get better and make it to the semi-finals.
This televised event is held in Las Vegas.
At first, they receive another teams uniforms and have to play in them or face disqualification.
Soon after, their coach dies and it nearly causes the team to lose hope.
The owner of Global Gym notices that the new team is pretty good and offers them a deal.
Take the ten-thousand dollars he offers and sign the small gym over to him, which is done.
For the final match the next day, they are then short a player after the owner took the money.
Luckily, he runs into someone who encourages him to never give up.
He makes it back just in time to play the final game.
