- The Mondeo is one of 11 fuel-efficient cars that Ford Motor Company sells in the UK. Due to Britain's stricter environmental regulations ("Euro 5"), Ford hasn't imported any of its larger stock. Ford's three Mondeo models in 2010 were sporty commuter vehicles priced between 17,295 and 21,945 pounds. Most come with an "EcoBoost" 1.6- or 2.0-liter engine, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic and an optional diesel engine for biofuel conversions.
- This Edge is nothing like the boxy and top-selling American SUV of the same name. That vehicle wouldn't pass the emissions testing. The Mondeo Edge, standard with the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine at 160 horsepower, is the entry-level Mondeo on the British market, a four-seater, base sedan. Though it includes many standard options, such as cruise control, Bluetooth capability, perimeter alarm and trip computer, it lacks many of the features of the other two Mondeo models.
- This model is the mid-range Mondeo. Though it looks much like the other two, it comes with special aesthetic features that differentiate it from the Edge, such as alloy wheels, sport-style front seats, front fog lights, leather gear shift and dual exhaust. The standard engine is the same as the Edge, but a 2.0-liter version at 202 horsepower is available as an upgrade.
- This vehicle is the top-of-the-line Mondeo, typically combining the best engine on the model (2.0 liter) with its top features. Above and beyond the Edge and Zetec, the Titanium offers auto engine start and stop via a keychain, front and rear mats, chrome front grille, headlight washers, auto headlights, a CD player with USB connectivity, rear reading lights, a special trim package, leather handbrake, scuff plates on the door, rear seat A/C and chrome window framing.
