- 1). Go to stumbleupon.com/widgets and click the "Get Started" button.
- 2). Click the radio button for "User Favorites" or "Best of an Interest and/or Site." The difference between the two is that "User Favorites" lets you enter your username in the appropriate field to showcase your favorite stumbles. Otherwise, choosing the latter option lets you display stumble links for a particular interest or domain name.
- 3). Enter the supporting criteria for the option you selected. For example, if you chose "User Favorites," then type your username in the below text field. Click the "Next" button.
- 4). Click the drop-down box for "What Type of Widget Would You Like?". You have three choices that include a small horizontal rectangle, large horizontal rectangle and a large vertical rectangle. You'll want to pick the widget that best fits your website. Also, give your widget a title in the "What's the Title of Your Widget?" box.
- 5). Go to the right-hand box labeled "Grab Your Widget Code." Copy the code from the box.
- 6). Open a text editor with your website's main HTML document. Paste the StumbleUpon widget code into the document. Alternatively, you can edit the HTML code directly in your browser if your blogging platform or site supports in-browser editing.
- 7). Save the document and upload it to your website servers. Visitors to your site now see the custom StumbleUpon widget.
