Depression is something that a lot of battle with these days.
There are lots of reasons why, such as a unexpected turn with events, like losing a job.
People who usually struggle with this often have anger stored up inside that they haven't dealt with the right way.
You can spend loads of money on medication and therapy.
Some people just don't have that much money and as a result, they never get better.
There are some ways that you can get over depression without ever having to get on any medications nor visit the therapist.
Thinking negative is a huge problem right now with all of the stress going on.
Each day people are faced with sickness, sudden death or something that happened that was way beyond their control.
When these things happen, you don't know how to always respond and you can get stressed with coping and dealing with the problem.
First try doing some breathing techniques that will help calm and relax your mind.
All you must do is breathe in and out a few times every few hours or when you start feeling stressed again.
Put on some calming classical music or listen to the wonders of the ocean.
You'll be amazed at how the stress will leave after a few seconds of you breathing in and out for a couple of minutes.
After you do the breathing techniques you will need to focus on your attitude and stop thinking negative about everything.
Most people don't even realize that when you are thinking negative that you stop being grateful about things in your life and that can cause sickness and even cancer.
You can stop thinking negative by saying positive affirmations such as "I am happy" and "I am successful".
Repeat the positive affirmations a few times each day and learn to smile when you are saying them! Not smiling at some point in the day can lead to depression because finding something to laugh about is always a good thing.
You can find funny jokes online or even funny videos to watch.
Another thing that can help with overcoming depression is by cleaning the house and moving things around.
If your house is not clean and you are always seeing things pile up and keep putting it off, it can cause your house to stink and you will not want to be in your own home.
While you are cleaning, add more light in your house.
Some people are very sensitive to light and just a little extra light can help improve the environment.
If your depression does not leave over a certain period of time try talking to your therapist first before getting any medications and seeing what your therapist recommends.
