There's always a show on for anyone to see in Birmingham, a weekend will rarely go by without you having a choice of some wonderful entertainment.
What you may miss out on are the not so well known and not so well advertised shows, which may well surprise you.
Birmingham has a wealth of theatre on offer from the Birmingham Hippodrome to the Crescent theatre on Sheepcote Street.
A few of the Christmas shows at the crescent have already sold out so if you want to get involved then I would head over to see what's on at their site, I think it's a definite worth while experience to check out what real theatre is like.
The Crescent is quite a small venue, really run by volunteers and has housed amateur performances as well as professional, what better way to enjoy a show when everyone can get involved! With a history spanning just ten years short of a century, the crescent theatre company have put on some brilliant shows in the past and this year, they simply haven't stopped.
A big hit on the stage this winter in Birmingham's crescent is Dad's Army, the writers of the original BBC series have created stage adaptations of four of the episodes and they are being brought to life on stage the Birmingham Crescent.
To find out more about the Crescent and What's On at the Birmingham Crescent just visit their site: The Crescent Theatre Company If you're a young actor or actress and you want to get on stage then the crescent is the place to start, they have some wonderful projects running over the summer months and they encourage you to show your potential.
Just get in touch with them!
