- 1). Look to see that the power cord is securely plugged into the wall socket if the refrigerator will not turn on. Check the electrical panel for any blown fuses or tripped breakers. Reset the breakers as necessary and replace damaged fuses with others of the exact same amperage. Make sure the refrigerator controls are set to "On."
- 2). Examine the door to see that it closes fully and that the seal is not damaged if the temperature is too warm or there is a buildup of interior moisture.
- 3). Check that the refrigerator is connected to the water supply and the supply shut-off valve is turned on if the ice maker is not operating. Make sure the ice maker switch is in the "On" position. Inspect the water lines for any kinks or bends.
- 4). Inspect the water shut-off valve to see if it is only partially open if the ice cubes are too small or hollow.
- 5). Check to see that the water dispenser tube connections are fully tightened if you find water pooling on the floor near the base grille.
