Want To Reduce The Deafening Noise On Your Exhaust Pipe?

Most motorcycle exhausts are made in such a way that they give out a lot of noise during rides. Some have noise regulator knobs while others do not have. Some motorists love the loud noise given out by the exhaust. They say that it's useful in alerting drivers that there is a motorcycle nearby while on the road. Others state that the loud noise gives their motorcycles a dramatic roar that leaves others staring at them.

For others, this noise is just deafening and a nuisance. They would rather ride a quiet motorcycle than one that alerts everyone on the road that there is a motorcycle nearby. However, this is something they have not been able to achieve. They bought their bikes with a noisy exhaust that has no noise regulator knob. Nevertheless, this should not worry you because a solution for you is here.

Did you know that you can regulate the amount of noise given by your exhaust system? Well, it's easy! There are some steps you have to follow that will guide you to eliminate that deafening noise.

You will need a socket wrench, an electric drill and a screw driver.

‚¬ The first step is to remove the muffler from the bike. The muffler is a removable part that's installed on a motorcycle to give less noise cancellation. In short, the muffler traps all the noise and ensures that it is given out by the exhaust system. By the use of the socket wrench, unscrew the bolt on which the muffler is mounted on. Use the screwdriver to loosen the clamp of the muffler. Now the muffler is completely unattached from the exhaust, just pull it to remove it completely.

‚¬ On the outlet end of the muffler, there are some rivets that need be removed. Use the electric drill to remove them and then pull the outlet cap from the muffler. Remove the core tube and the remaining fiberglass material or the packing material. Inside the packing material is the core. Unwrap the material and get the core.

‚¬ Take a new packing material and wrap the core. Take the newly wrapped core and insert it into the muffler. Then, by the use of a rivet gun, reattach the passage cap to the muffler and reinstall it onto the exhaust system.

‚¬ Take a tape measure and get the inner diameter of the muffler's passage. Choose a small baffle that can fit in the muffler's passage and insert it. Tap it until it's in place.

‚¬ By the use of the electric drill, make a tiny hole passing through the muffler's passage and the baffle. Insert a screw through the hole to lock the baffle to the muffler. Tighten the screw until it's tightly fixed.

‚¬ Now attach the exhaust pipe back to the bike and its ready for use.

After following these steps to the letter, your exhaust pipe will no longer give undesired noise like before. You can now enjoy your rides comfortably. You do not have to be ashamed when riding around of a noisy exhaust pipe!
