Seattle Children's Theater Summer Camps

    Stone Soup Theatre Summer Programs

    • Stone Soup Theatre company not only offers excellent performances throughout the year for Seattle audiences, but it also has an extensive selection of summer camps for children from ages 5 through 13, and even a program for older students ages 10 through 20. The programs happen in Wallingford Meridian Park, Seward Park and Stone Soup's own DownStage Space, depending on the program. Classes are limited to around 20 students, and the company recommends parents choose a program based on the child's reading and maturity levels.

    Studio East

    • Studio East is a training center for the performing arts, offering year-round classes for students of all ages, as well as a number of programs offered during school breaks. Its summer programs cater to multiple groups with age-appropriate programs for each group. Students ages 4 through 6 are offered a one-week arts exploration camp. Grades 1 through 2 create their own plays in a one-week camp. Grades 3 to 6 can create their own play in a one-week camp, and can also participate in a two-week camp that culminates in a costumed musical production. Grades 7 through 10 have a choice of a two-week musical theater or Shakespeare camp.

    Auburn Children's Dance Theater

    • Children with a tendency toward dance and theater may find the Auburn Dance Theater's program more to their liking. The company provides age-appropriate choreography, costumes, and music with affordable tuition and a wide range of classes. It offers year-round programs as well as an excellent summer program.

    Seattle Children's Theatre

    • Seattle Children's Theatre provides a number of excellent educational outreach programs, performing for school groups and providing a number classes and workshops throughout the year. Its summer program includes rehearsing and performing a number of fully-staged productions for students in different age groups. Auditions and tuition are required for each production, but the company also provides audition workshops for those who need help preparing.
