Toshiba SD-V393 Specifications

    DVD Video

    • The SD-V393 has one disc drive that is capable of playing many formats: DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R, CD-RW and VCD. It also has Toshiba's ColorStream Pro Progressive Scan component video output, which produces a much clearer picture than component video. You can view JPG photographs from a CD and zoom into the picture with Digital Picture Zoom. The SD-V393 is capable of slow motion, multiple camera angles, multiple language selection and multiple subtitle selections.

    DVD Audio

    • The DVD part of this DVD/VCR combo is compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS for superior sound quality, is capable of WMA and MP3 playback, and has 3-D virtual surround sound.

    VCR

    • The SD-V393's VCR has 4 video heads and 19 micron heads and an auto head cleaner. Toshiba's 19-Micron Heads read only specific signals, resulting in enhanced SLP performance. The VCR also has S-VHS Quasi Playback, a feature that allows tapes that were recorded in a Super VHS deck to be played without a significant quality reduction. The VHS Hi-Fi stereo can be used in conjunction with a surround sound receiver in a home theater environment.

    Extras

    • You can simultaneously play a DVD and record a VHS on the SD-V393 model. The deck comes with a child lock and a VCR/VHS remote control. This player also includes Toshiba's Auto Clock technology, which retrieves time information from your local broadcast source so you do not need to manually input a time. The Commercial Skip feature allows you to skip ahead in intervals of 30 seconds to avoid commercials on recorded programs.
