Don"t Gamble on Home Security

Imagine this scenario. You've finally managed to save up enough money for another short vacation with your family. Since you live within a few hours drive of Las Vegas, you decide to head to there for vacation. The capital of lights and entertainment never fails to deliver. You've packed all your clothes and have enough money to last you throughout your exciting trip, and more. Of course, gambling money is included in that sum. Last but not least, you made sure that your home would be protected by a top of the line home security system while you're away.

After doing some research on the internet a few months prior, you concluded that a home alarm system would probably be the best way to go on a vacation with peace of mind. Although it wasn't even that expensive, you can't help but wonder if it was money well spent. Sure it includes all manner of intrusion sensors including wireless motion sensors and is directly connected to an ever-vigilant alarm company, but what if no one will ever try to break in? What if someone does try to break in but something malfunctions? You put those thoughts aside, though, since you'll be on vacation. It's really in the hands of the alarm company now.

You arrive in Las Vegas and are instantly dazzled by all the lights and sounds. It has been quite a few years since you had last been out there and so much new construction is underway all around you. It's truly a city that is always expanding and growing. You're family is enjoying the food and sight-seeing. But your mind starts to wander a bit whenever you see hotel security, of which there is no shortage of. You start to consider your home security situation again. You've got a lot of valuables in your home. But since you worry enough at work as it is, you quickly decide to focus your mind back on the business of having fun.

Despite your best efforts, you can't help but check your phone every night for a missed call from your alarm company. Fortunately, everything seems to be going according to plan and you don't hear anything. And then it hits you. You chose a reliable and professional home security system. You don't have anything to worry about. You laugh it off and the thought of the well-being of your home is forgotten for the rest of the trip.

It's finally time to go home. You look back on this short vacation as a much needed and well-deserved time of relaxation and stress relief. After a few hours, your call pulls into your neighborhood only to be greeted by a gathering of local police. You stop your car near the commotion only to overhear your neighbor being upset about his expensive home entertainment system being stolen from his home while he was at work. You recall that he was always putting off the installation a security system in his home. He heads over to you to vent his frustrations and is confused that though you were gone for a few days without any problems, he was away at work for only a few hours and ended up being a victim of burglary. He asks you why the burglar chose to skip over your house. Your response is simple: "I only gamble in Vegas."
