- 1). Draw shapes, designs and words on the front and back cover of the binder using paint pens. You can buy the pens at most craft stores for just a few dollars, and they come in many different colors. Write your name and homeroom, or simply decorate with squiggles, swirls and different designs.
- 2). Create a 3D effect on your binder by using foam shapes. You can purchase the shapes in theme packs, so you can have a beachy binder, or an array of stars. You can also buy foam sheets and cut out your own shapes and letters. Glue them with craft glue so they stay secure.
- 3). Put stickers all over your binder. Glow in the dark stickers, 3D stickers, glitter stickers and word stickers can all make a statement. Decals and bumper stickers are also great for sending a message through your artwork.
- 4). Cut out pictures from magazines showing your favorite actors or singers. You can also cut out words and phrases from magazines. To make it more personal, use photos of yourself and your friends. Use a small piece of double-sided tape to affix them to the binder. Once they are all in place, cover the entire front and back of the binder with clear packing tape to protect the photos.
