- Disguise the hard surfaces of a gazebo with fabric. Choose soft, flowing, touchable, romantic fabric such as tulle, satin, gauze, velvet, lace or silk, and match the fabric to one of the wedding colors. Drape the fabric over the front entrance and tie it back with large bow to create a romantic focus for the couple or gather it together and wrap it around the bars of the gazebo. You can also drape it from the ceiling.
- Although you could use real flowers, consider using a quality grade silk artificial flower instead, as these look just as good from a distance. Use the greenery to accent the fabric as you weave strands of silk ivy and garlands of flowers. Add groupings of flowers in spots, while other areas are bare. Concentrate most of the flowers on the arch where the couple will stand.
- Twinkle lights give a romantic appearance to a decorated gazebo. Wind twinkle lights around the fabric, the banisters and the railings. Drape the twinkle lights across the ceiling, giving a starry night look to the gazebo. Wrap them around the containers holding the plants and flowers leading up the pathway to the gazebo in addition to the trunks of the trees surrounding the wedding path.
- Drape strands of crystals from the ceiling, to and from banisters and around entrances to catch the sunlight and bounce it around the room. String pearls around draped materials and use strands to tie back draped fabric for an elegant look. Make huge pull bows along the sides and rails outside the gazebo or group balloons of the wedding colors together and create arches or swags around the gazebo.
