Hello, my name is Walter Unglaub, and this is mass and volume of a milk bottle. So here is a nice little diagram of a milk bottle and we are interested in finding out what the mass and the volume are of this milk bottle and a milk bottle typically has a mass of 25.5 ounces and you can convert this to another metric unit, kilograms, by realizing that 25.5 ounces is approximately equal to 723 grams and if we divide by 1,000 this is equal to 0.72 kilograms approximately. So that is the mass of a standard or typical milk bottle and the size can range in quite a variety and the volume then is typically in the vicinity of 10 to 12 fluid ounces and we can convert to a more standard unit in the metric system of liters by recognizing that 1 milliliter is equal to approximately 33.8 fluid ounces. So if I divide 10 by this conversion factor, then I have on the lower end of a volume a milk bottle, volume of approximately 295 milliliters and on the upper end somewhere around 355 milliliters, or if I divide by 1,000 then I have .295 liters or .355 liters. So this is the typical volume of a milk bottle and this is the typical mass of a milk bottle. My name is Walter Unglaub and this is mass and volume of a milk bottle.
