- 1). Lower the truck's tailgate and place a motorcycle-specific ramp against it. Attach one end of a ratcheting tie-down strap to one of the ramp's rungs and place the other end on the truck's frame to prevent the ramp from slipping. Tighten the tie-down strap, using its ratcheting mechanism.
- 2). Roll the motorcycle from a short distance toward the ramp. Step onto the tailgate and let the motorcycle's momentum help push the motorcycle up the ramps. Push the motorcycle against the front of the bed and lower it onto its kick stand.
- 3). Slip both of the handlebar strap's loops over both handlebars. Pull the ends of the strap tight.
- 4). Hook a tie-down strap onto both ends of the tie-down straps, placing the tie-down strap's ratcheting mechanisms near the motorcycle. Hook the opposite end of the tie-down strap onto a solid anchor point on the sides of the truck's bed.
- 5). Straddle the motorcycle and lift it into a vertical position. Tighten the tie-down straps, using the ratcheting mechanisms, until both the motorcycle is supported in a vertical position.
- 6). Shift your weight from side to side to ensure that the motorcycle is completely supported by the tie-down straps. Tighten the straps as needed. Loosely tie the excess straps around the anchored end of the tie-down strap.
- 7). Remove the motorcycle ramp and lift the truck's tailgate.
