We know that there are many ways to monetize a blog but have you thought about testing the income streams on your blog to make even more money? The thing we should consider is to test the different revenue methods we use and find out which ones optimizes the best on your blog and which ones are ho hum, or even space wasters.
Each blog has its own 'bent' and culture and depending on many variables.
Whatever they are, they will impact the types of combinations of income streams that you will use or not use on your blog.
So have you found out if the income streams on your blog making all the money they should make? Why don't you test them? Be brave! Tweak a few income methods; test them again, and again and again if you have to, until you get the ideal income combination working for you.
But what about income methods that are already bringing home the bacon? Just because they are doing 'well' it doesn't mean they are at their optimum best.
You may be leaving money on the table.
DO not be afraid to test those revenue systems that are already working well for you, you only run the risk of making them even better.
If the changes affect the income stream negatively you can always stop the new changes and go back to the old way that worked.
This is what I mean by testing the income streams on your blog to make even more money.
Think of your reader profile The demographics of the readers of your blog will give you a great deal of information about the right monetization techniques to use.
For example, if you have a blog on 'basket ball', high chance is that your blog will attract readers who are primarily men in their twenties.
If so, an obvious move would be to make money off selling sports apparel, basketball paraphernalia, and health products on your blog.
If your blog happens to review 'gaming sites' then chances are your average reader would be in the teens to early twenties.
If this is so, selling 'games-related' products and software might be the go for you.
However, you wouldn't be 'selling' as such, not directly anyway, because your demographic are more inclined to click on contextual ads offering information, tutorial, insider secrets to games, cheat codes to a game, and CPA offers.
Different strokes for different folks as they say.
And that is why is paramount that you ask the one big question that will impact how effective your blog is in making all the money they should make.
Now you know you can test them to make them make even more money for you!
