- 1). Exit out of all other programs currently running on the computer. Then right click on the "Start" menu button and select "Explore" from the context menu that appears.
- 2). Click the C drive from the Folders menu on the left side of the Windows Explorer window, then double click the "Program Files" folder on the right side of the Explorer window.
- 3). Scroll down and double click on the "Microsoft Office" folder, then open the "Office12" folder.
- 4). Click the "Start" menu button again, then select "All Programs." Right click on the "Startup" folder and select "Open."
- 5). Navigate back to the "Office12" folder Explorer window and locate the file named "Osa.exe" in the "Office12" folder. Right click on the "Osa.exe" file, then drag and drop the file from "Office12" into the open "Startup" directory.
- 6). Select "Create Shortcut Here" to place a shortcut in the "Startup" folder. The Office Startup Assistant will now load at Windows startup, making the Office 2007 startup much faster.
