• Bella Italia offers the same type of traditional Italian food that owner Tony Sanfilippo's great-grandparents made in Sicily. The atmosphere at Bella Italia is like that of an Italian home, where everyone is a friend. They bake fresh Italian bread daily and have an extensive wine list. The lunch menu features Italian favorites such as Tuscan bruschetta and veal parmigiana among its selection of Italian specialty soups, salads and sandwiches. The dinner menu features close to 20 pasta dishes, all with homemade sauces, as well as classics like chicken marsala and linguini with clam sauce, the latter marked as "Tony's favorite." Special events include wine tastings held throughout the year and a bi-weekly Sunday brunch buffet, featuring homemade Italian sausage and breads. Bella Italia is closed on Mondays.

Davinci's

• Davinci's opened in 1992 and has been an Elkhart staple for Italian food ever since. Close to shopping and entertainment, the restaurant is owned and operated by Joe and Rosa Siciliano, born in southern Italy. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, with carry-out, delivery and catering available. Lunch specials include all-you-can-eat soup, salad and garlic sticks and all-you-can-eat pasta, pizza, salad and garlic sticks. Dinner specials include chicken cordon bleu and pecan-crusted roasted salmon. Pasta dishes are served in lunch- and dinner-sized portions, and you create your own meal by choosing a type of pasta, a sauce and additions such as meatballs and mushrooms. Davinci's is open six days a week, closed on Mondays.

Antonio's Italian Ristorante

• Decorated in old-world Italian style, Antonio's features fresh, made-to-order food, including authentic pizza and southern Italian favorites. Antonio's pizza has won several Elkhart awards.
