- 1). Find a barren spot with dirt you can use. Use the shovels and start filling up your wheelbarrows and dumping them at the ramp site. You will need about 20 wheelbarrow loads, depending on the height of your ramp.
- 2). Place two of the barrels on their sides next to each other. These serve as the base of the ramp. Use the fence posts, and hammer them into the ground on the back side of your barrels. These are to hold the next layer of the ramp and also to prevent shifting when taking off from the ramp with your motorcycle.
- 3). Cover the two barrels and a small portion leading up to them with dirt. Pack it in with the shovels by beating the shovel head on the dirt to make sure it won't shift when you ride on it.
- 4). Take your last barrel and place it on top of the back base barrel. Have a friend hold it in place while you fill the rest of the area with dirt to solidify the barrels. Surround the barrels front and back with dirt. Your ramp should now sit about 5 feet high.
- 5). Start shaping the ramp with your shovels and feet. You can create any amount of incline you wish by either adding dirt or taking it away. Once you've shaped it, start sprinkling water on the ramp and packing it down every 15 minutes. The water helps settle the dirt and the packing helps hold it. Don't wet it too much as it will turn to mud. Let it dry between each wetting. You will only need to perform that part of the task about three or four times before the ramp is solid and sturdy.
