- 1). Plug in your slow cooker.
- 2). Add equal amounts white rice and water to your slow cooker. Mix them together in the pot with a wooden spoon.
- 3). Add 2 tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. butter for each cup of rice you put into your slow cooker.
- 4). Place the lid on your slow cooker.
- 5). Turn the dial to low. Allow the rice to cook for six to eight hours.
