Dont Brush The Issue Of A New Vacuum Under The Carpet

Its one of those essential pieces of kit that every household needs to have and no one really wants to use. Household chores are not most peoples idea of fun and generally people will get out of having to dust and vacuum the house if they can. But just because no one wants to use a vacuum cleaner does not mean that a household can do without one.

If your old vacuum cleaner is now on its last legs then the time has come to see what options are available out in the market place. As with most electrical products, there is a wide variety of manufacturers to choose between, including Panasonic, Dyson and Bosch. Each company will have a whole range of different models, each with its own unique specs and features.

When it comes to choosing a type of vacuum cleaner to go for, it really comes down to a choice between a cylinder vacuum and an upright model. Both have their own benefits and drawbacks, and it all really depends on the type of areas you will need to clean. You can spend under 100 on a vacuum or indeed hundreds of pounds, it really just depends on how often you will use it, how it will be used and what features you expect it to have.

A cylinder vacuum cleaner tends to be more manoeuvrable than an upright model and so it is easier to move around the house with, and due to the nature of their design they tend to be able to get into tighter spaces. You will however need more space to store a cylinder model.

Upright vacuum cleaners on the other hand are better at covering large areas and so this might be a major consideration to take into account if you have a fair sized house. They are also said to be better for dog and cat owners as they pick up hairs more easily. On the downside, they can be harder to get into small spaces, and due to their design are difficult to use for cleaning the stairs.

If you do decide to go on a mass cleaning exercise and need to buy a new vacuum cleaner then make sure you have a look for the best deals on the internet.
