- 1). Insert the provided USB data cable into the USB port on your Sony digital video camera. Plug the opposite end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the computer.
- 2). Power on the Sony digital video camera and the computer states it has detected a new, removable device. Set the camera to "Playback" mode, or, if you do not have a built-in hard drive and just a memory card, set the camera to "Memory card."
- 3). Click "Start," (My) "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon. A new window loads with all of the files currently stored on the camera's hard drive/memory card.
- 4). Click-and-drag the audio files from the computer directly into the open window. These audio files may originate in any location on your computer, including media players such as iTunes or Windows Media Player.
- 5). Close out the removable device window, then right-click the removable device icon and choose "Eject" from the pull-down menu.
