The Stall Talker

I like to play sports, but unlike most men my age - I don't really enjoy watching them.
Other then the Stanley Cup or The Masters I don't have my TV tuned to the game every Sunday afternoon.
I definitely don't follow the stats either.
I know that Gretzky was the great one and that he played hockey but I can't tell you how many Stanley cups he won or even when he retired.
So at the best of times I am not the best at sports conversation - even at the best of times.
Well today I was in the men's washroom at work, washing my hands, when I hear a voice from the stall behind me - THE DREADED STALL TALKER! What's worse he's asking me about the weekend football game.
All I want to do is get finished with what I came in there to do and get out! What's wrong with the water cooler? Why are you asking me about the game? And why when you are in that seated position? And I really don't know the etiquette here.
Can I just leave? Am I supposed to hang out in there and continue the conversation until he's done? I find that conversations of any kind in a public bathroom are just awkward.
Sure, in polite society bathrooms are sometimes referred to Rest Rooms, they are not meant for resting, conversation, politics, sports or anything other then getting out of there as quickly as possible.
I edge closer to the exit.
He asks me another question.
Looks like I have to stick it out until he's done.
Could I at least have a courtesy flush here?
