- 1). Position the sink directly over the drain and supply lines at a height approximately 4 feet off the ground. Check with local building codes to determine if the sink must be located at a different height.
- 2). Pull a level across the basin and adjust the sink until it rests level on the wall. Have a second person mark the mounting holes under the sink onto the wall. Place the sink off to the side for now. It is important that the mounting holes line up with the studs on the wall.
- 3). Drill pilot holes into the wall with a drill bit that measures half the size of the lag bolts you plan to use to attach the sink to the wall.
- 4). Place the sink against the wall and line up the marks. With the sink in place, thread the lag bolts into the hole and then tighten them with a wrench.
- 5). Place a bead of plumber's putty around the hole in the sink basin and then place the sink drain basket into the sink. Tighten the basket-retaining nut with a pipe wrench.
- 6). Slide the drainpipe extension pipe onto the downpipe extending from the drain basket. Place the other end of the extension into the compression fitting on the trap. Tighten the compression fitting on the extension pipe and on the trap with the pipe wrench. The drain connection is complete.
- 7). Place the faucets onto the top of the sink and then secure the faucets by threading the retaining nuts onto the threaded faucet nipples. Tighten the nuts with a wrench.
- 8). Thread the compression couplers located on the hot water and the cold water supply lines onto the end of the threaded nipples located n the faucets. Tighten the compression nuts with the wrench.
