When I tell people my age, their jaws usually drop to the ground.
It's quite a delight to see given of course that I'm female and yes a little vain at times.
Every woman wants to hear how youthful she looks.
She wants to be admired and appreciated by those around her.
She wants to be looked upon as a beautiful goddess, at any age.
I am 31 years old.
Still at the prime of my youth and I often get told I look 18.
Some of you might think, "well wait till she's my age! The lines and sagging will soon start to show.
Just wait.
" I won't.
I intend to stay looking and more importantly feeling youthful when I'm 90.
Why? For one simple reason only and that is, because I want to teach by example.
I absolutely revel and delight when someone asks me "What's your secret to looking so young?!" I have a few.
Let me share them with you.
1.
Get Happy! There's nothing that creates the illusion of youth as much as a happy and playful attitude.
It amazes me how sometimes I will look at young adults in their early 20's and they appear older to me than someone in their 40's or 50's.
How is this possible? Well for one thing, youth isn't all about how smooth your skin is, how glossy your hair looks and how firm your buttocks is.
Youth is freedom.
Youth is spirit.
It is the free-flowing energy that courses through your veins, lighting up each and every cell of your body, setting it aglow! That energy radiates through your eyes, through your skin pores, pouring onto all that come in contact with you.
Naturally those around you will be uplifted.
Your light will blind them and they will be unable to see your wrinkles at all! It really is magic! 2.
Get Sexual! Getting sexual goes hand-in-hand with getting happy.
When you're happy, you become vital and energetic.
With that, your sexual energy begins to light up.
That creative, life-giving force is SEX.
Studies have shown that people who regularly engage in sexual activity with a partner, report increased happiness and wellbeing, better cardiovascular health and a more youthful appearance.
I imagine it has a little something to do with the happiness cocktail of endorphins that sex stimulates.
Anyway, there's nothing like a great orgasm, shared with another to create a healthy, youthful glow.
3.
Get Fit! Everyone knows that exercise is beneficial to the health on all levels.
Did you know it could also make you look more youthful? Not only will the boost of endorphins that exercise stimulates (like sex) produce a more happy outlook on life, improving cardiovascular health and muscle tone, naturally stimulates blood flow and the release of toxins through your sweat, giving you a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
4.
Get Hydrated and Eat Right! I drink over 2 L of water everyday.
I start my day drinking water with lemon, because lemons are a natural detoxifying agent and high in vitamin C.
Also, our bodies are made up of 80% water, so keeping well hydrated will not only keep your skin more youthful, but it will improve your overall health.
Along with water, it's important to maintain a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
5.
Get Meditating! I, like many others struggle with meditation sometimes.
I find that at times when I can't get my thoughts to stop the tangled web of mental chatter, I need to try something else.
Something some might think is a little bit radical, but is actually quite an effective tool to produce a relaxed state.
Here I talk about hypnosis, which I often describe as a form of guided meditation.
If the basics like focusing on my breathing doesn't do it for me, I need to be guided into a relaxed state.
I'm a naturally auditory person, so listening to music that stimulates trance states, such as binaural beats or a self-hypnosis recording are extremely powerful tools in helping me relax and shift my thoughts.
And as we all know, when our mind is relaxed, the body follows suit.
The facial muscles relax, naturally smoothing out lines and wrinkles.
