I have always taken for granted the youthful face I have carried up until my late thirties.
I have never invested in expensive creams and worn little or no makeup, and actually still don't.
However, one morning 2 months ago I went to have my shower as usual and caught a glimpse of a stranger as I passed the mirror.
Whoa! When did that happen? Maybe I haven't been paying attention to myself as I have a new baby but it seems like all of a sudden I have turned into my mum.
Matters weren't helped by the fact that my partner a week or so later when I was talking about a new hairstyle to suit my face told me, yes, good idea, you're starting to look like your mum! Aside from a single grey hair I pulled out, I noticed a saggy chin, loose skin around my mouth and yes, the dreaded crows feet.
I must have become very serious too as I had a permanent frown line in between my eyebrows.
I am not one for spending a lot of money on fads and certainly do not have the spare cash for any surgery, so having remembered a friend telling me about a facial workout I started researching what I could do to improve the tone of my face.
So, here's the deal.
The face, like the body, is controlled by heaps of muscles, that's how we smile, wink, frown, and even wiggle our ears (for those who can do this to amuse their children!) It makes perfect sense.
If you can exercise your body to tone muscle of course you should be able to do the same for your face.
