Christian Teamwork Activities

    Get Closer with Bible Verses

    • For this challenge, you will only need rope and a group of excited players. Put the rope on the ground in a circle and tell everyone to get in the circle. Have them get out, and make the circle smaller and tell everyone to get in it again. Each time the circle gets smaller, have one of the players say a bible verse. Make the circle smaller after each time. The players will have to work together to all fit inside the circle as it gets smaller. Tell the players to see how small they can get the circle and then try to beat their goal next time they play.

    Ten Commandment Board Cross

    • Your players will need to study the ten commandments before this game and make sure they know them. Give your team a 2-by-4 board that is barely large enough for them to all stand on. Ideally, use a board approximately 10 feet long for every seven players. Give them another board identical to this board. Mark a starting line and a finish line about 70 feet apart. The object of the activity is for the team to work together using the boards to get from the starting line to the finish line. Each time the team lays a board down, they have to each say one of the ten commandments. Teams can only stand on one of the boards at a time. If any players are on both of the boards at the same time, the team must start over. If any players fall off the board, the team must start over. Have the teams work together to keep beating their best time.

    Build the Tower of Babel

    • Divide the players into two even groups and tell them they will have 30 minutes to build to tallest Tower of Babel. Players can use books, paper, bowls, tape and paper plates to build their tower. Do not use furniture, as this could be dangerous. If a tower falls before time is up, the team can continue building. The team with the highest tower after 30 minutes wins the game. To make the game harder, tell the players they have to build the tower without talking to one another.

    Unified Story

    • Print sequential picture pages of a Bible story. Write down the correct order of the pictures and mix them up. Give each player a picture and let the group work together as a team to get the story back to the correct order.
