- 1). Wait until 12:01 a.m. Sunday before filing your claim for the previous week. You have until 5 p.m. Friday to file your claim.
- 2). Visit Washington's weekly unemployment claims web portal (see Resources). Select the option to file your weekly certification. Click the "Continue" button.
- 3). Enter your Social Security number.
- 4). Enter your four-digit personal identification number. If you have not chosen the PIN, your default PIN is your birth month and year. For instance, if your birthday is May 20, 1974, your default PIN is 0574.
- 5). Complete the online claim form by answering questions about the previous week's employment search. After submitting the form, you will see a message indicating that your claim has been accepted. If you do not see this message, your claim submission was unsuccessful and must be resubmitted.
- 1). Call the Unemployment Claims Telecenter at 800-318-6022. This number can be called Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- 3). Answer questions about your employment search.
- 4). Wait to hear the automated message indicating that your claim has been accepted. Don't disconnect the call until hearing this message.
