It seems like there are all kinds of get rich schemes and work at home opportunities popping all around us.
You hear infomercials about them, read them on the web; you may even find a flyer on your car when you come out from the store.
Are these opportunities for real? Can you really make the kind of money they promise? The answers are, some are and maybe.
There are legitimate home based businesses but they are hard to find and require research.
A lot of these legitimate companies are over run my scams and Pyramid Schemes (will cover that soon).
Unfortunately, the legitimate ones get lumped into the "bad rap" with the schemes.
A legitimate company will not make promises as to how much you will make! Why? First, if you guarantee a certain amount per month for providing services or products this becomes boarder line of an employer/employee agreement.
This will require a salary or hourly rate.
Second, sales is an individual thing.
One person maybe a natural the next may have to work at it a little more.
Of course having great products that are reasonably priced and that you are proud to sell makes a lot of difference.
In a nut shell if you are guaranteed lots money for little work it is probably a scam.
Everything worth having, including running your business takes work; advertising, promoting, building customer relations and trust! You talked about Pyramid Schemes so what exactly are they? A Pyramid Scheme is where you try to sell a product or service at the same time you try to recruiter people under you.
As each of these people recruit others you move towards the top producing what looks like a pyramid when drawn out.
The problem is there is an exchange of money but no exchange of goods or services.
You make money selling phony products and from the people you recruited.
The bottom line, this is illegal! This is similar to a multi level market system, MLM, but with a few differences.
Yes, you may recruit people under you and those people may recruit people under them.
Yes, you can earn royalties from the different levels.
A true MLM will offer products or services in exchange for money.
The bottom line is that in a multi level market actually products or services sold.
A pyramid does not.
Work at home businesses are great when you find one that is reputable!
