How to Attach the Bosal Fiador

    • 1). Take the tassel end of the fiador and pull it through the V shape at the bottom of the bosal. Pull the tassel to the right and wrap it around the body of the bosal one to three times.

    • 2). Bring the loop of the fiador up through the bosal to form the reins. Check to make sure the reins are not twisted, then make another wrap with the reins.

    • 3). Make a last wrap, then pull the end through the bosal and pull it snug. The bosal is now ready for use.

You know you've done this properly if your reins come out the top and your lead and your tassel come out the bottom, according to Sackett Ridge Saddlery in Massachusetts.
