Strength Training Workouts - Does It Have To Be Hard? Pt.1

The trend of people shying away from visiting the gym or seriously doing strength training workouts is fast catching up to the number of individuals who engage in it. Can't really blame them. We always see pictures of blown-up bodybuilders of which the majority are injected with voluminous amount of banned substances resulting in dangerously overworked body inside out are not that really appealing to a great percentage of the population. Yes the magazines, movies and television are full of these 'super hero like' figures but not everyone would like to be that way. I don't know if the majority of these athletes are 'clinically fit' as their bodies project, but in reality even by just sustaining this caliber of 'fit looking' is hard. Besides living an expensive lifestyle due to exagerated use of supplements and 'other things' these guys consume, this dedication enters a solitary world of self discipline. Planning their rigid meals which sometimes happen six times a day (recently I discovered that there are individuals who are eating seven to eight times a day!) and recuperating from hard workouts, not being able to socialize too much or if they do, isolate themselves due to the demands of their programs, not drinking or being too picky of the things they take in parties is tough. Sure the discipline is something you can be proud of but we cannot all be that way. Besides the people around these parties would look at you a bit differently because you're not 'in the fun'.

Not a lot of people would like to be in that scenario doing that role as if it was a normal way of life! Without offense, we are all individuals with our different tastes but still, when it comes to the polls, the majority of men and women would like to be fit looking but not gargantuan.

There are lots of studies that confirm strength training workouts are beneficial to our existence but too much of it can also play a dangerous role. The escalating cases of individuals working out with weights being obsessed to the point of trying dangerous drugs have been rising steadily and as a result black market sales of these substances in all corners of the earth are populating as well. Well, some have been successful and have landed in the magazines or movie roles, but how many actually made it? One out of a hundred?. thousand.. ten thousands? It's not worth it if you'll ask me. I have my respect for achievers. Those who never stop until they die in doing something. I admire the passion and dedication these athletes have ingrained in themselves, but .. how about the majority who possess limited genetics, who got tempted because Mr. Mesomorph with his natural genetics made it to a lead role in a cage? Or the majority of us who weren't athletes when we were in high school. Could they do strength training workouts as well. Would they really benefit from it if they can? How much do they have to do? How to start it? Where to work out? How about what to eat? Let's look at all of these on my next blog post. Stay Tuned
