When it comes to building muscle or just getting in shape, it is good quality workouts that are essential to obtaining that body you desire.
It is not how much time you spend working out that will guarantee that you will make the fastest progress possible.
Rather, it is the intense, short workouts that you need to ensure rapid results.
Before I go any further, I want to inform you that I have been trained by some of the best.
I have been trained by a former Mr.
Universe and a former Mr.
Teen U.

Much of my knowledge comes from these men as well as numerous others through bodybuilding courses and personal consultation.
There is no need for you to spend hours in the gym doing "endless" sets and reps.
I don't know about you but I have a life outside of the gym.
I have a family, a job, and many other responsibilities.
I know; some of you reading this are thinking, "You mean to tell me that my two hours in the gym are slowing my progress?''Yes, that is probably the case.
If you can get the job done in less than an hour, why waste so much time in the gym anyhow? Now, I am not talking about socializing for most of those hours in the gym either.
I see a lot of that going on at times.
I am talking about your actual workout time.
Forty-five minutes to one hour should be plenty of time to train your muscles hard and get out of there.
Many studies have been done, which indicate that short and intense workouts lasting around forty-five minutes are sufficient and even better for building muscle.
After forty-five minutes to an hour the body begins to lose the benefits of the workout.
By doing long, drawn out workouts you may actually do more harm than good because you will risk over training.
My workouts usually last forty-five minutes to one hour.
These include 20 to 30 minutes of "cardio" and about 20 to 25 minutes of weightlifting.
That's it!I do not perform a lot of sets but I do train each muscle very intensely.
I do not complete a set of any given exercise until I can no longer do another rep.
Thus, I train to failure.
When you train to failure or near failure there is simply no need to do a lot of sets anyway.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that it is far more important to strive for quality over quantity.
It is the intensity of your workouts, not the duration that is essential.
For actual recommended workouts, I advise you to read other articles I have written.
