• The thermostat may be faulty in an electric stove and may need to be replaced. A gas stove can be getting an improper ratio of gas to air, requiring an adjustment.
  
  

Oven Door Issues

• Door springs may become damaged or worn out, complicating or even preventing the door from remaining closed. The hinges can also become old and worn. Both can be replaced, either at home or with repair services.
