Unusual Dining Locations

Catching up on a lunch or a dinner, or any breakfast or high tea is not necessarily to only satisfy physiological requirements. In fact, people often socialize during meal times. "Catching up" is what we generally know it as.

There are restaurants and cafeterias in every nook and corner of the world. Some are casual, while the others are fine dining and luxury personified. Some serve meals by the alleyway, some in a cart. Beachside cafes to lagoon bars, food can be served any place that is hygienic and clean. It is not a difficult feat.

But, for those adventurous souls out there, there are places in the world, which are downright unusual and quirky to call it best.

Following are some of the most unusual hangout and dining zones in the world.

1.Up in the sky: Dinner in the Sky is an international catering service, wherein the table is suspended at a height of 50m. This table accommodates a maximum of 22 persons. There is a staff of 3 people, including the chef, the server and the entertainer.

2.In the Dark: While eating food is purely a burst of taste senses, the promoters of this restaurant emphasise the importance of visual sensations while eating. The patrons are made to sit in darkness while their food is served. This enhances the sense of taste and intensifies the joy of eating. These kinds of restaurants are based in London and Paris.

3.Hospital Food: This restaurant is based in Latvia. The servers are dressed as nurses and ward boys. The food is also, served in test tubes, flasks and operating room's dishes.

4.Icy cool: The Chillout restaurant in Dubai is one of its kinds in the Middle East. Everything here is made of ice. Glasses, teacups, furniture- in fact even the whole ambience.

5.Green House Effect: In Amsterdam, De Kas is a restaurant situated in the greenhouse. The produce is self-grown by the restaurant management.

6.Deep Below:The Hilton at Maldives has built an underwater restaurant. The restaurant accommodates 14 people and is made of transparent acrylic roof that offers 270o of panoramic view to its patrons.

7.Pay as you Wish: These kinds of restaurants are based all across the world. The motto of these restaurants is to pay as you wish. There are no prices on the food served.

8.Volcanic Heat: In Spain, at El Diablo, the meals are cooked using volcanic heat.

9. Bull-Bear Drinks: At the Exchange Bar & Grill in New York, the prices of drinks fluctuate depending upon the demand and supply of the drinks. There are no fixed prices.

Irrespective of the cuisine, people love to try out new places and different ambience. Going out often takes us away from our realities and gives a much-needed break. Many Restaurants in Dageradplaats and restaurants in Zurenborg provide a different ambience and an easy place to chill and hangout. The Aan Het Strand Van Oostende is one such restaurant, which believes that reality is what we have and fantasy, is what we need.
