Why is it so incredibly hard for some guys to gain muscle mass fast while other guys seem to eat a piece of chicken and a bicep muscle pops out? Some things in life just aren't fair, that is for sure.
However, it is possible to build up your muscles quickly if you are taking the right steps to do so.
There are two keys to making this work.
The first key is being extremely intense in your fitness routine.
The second key has to do with eating correctly.
Let's look at these two tips below.
First, you must become very intense about how you work out.
You cannot gain muscle mass fast by sitting on the sofa watching TV at night.
You cannot gain it by running 2 miles each morning and eating salads all week.
Muscle mass requires intensive weight lifting which is done in a specific way.
There are no shortcuts, and you must use the right form and methods to make it happen.
One key to gaining muscle mass fast is eating a lot of food.
Remember, you are not trying to diet or even lose fat right now.
You are trying to gain muscle (which, by the way, will burn off the fat on its own).
You are going to need to eat large amounts of calories because you need to fuel your body for the high intensity weight lifting sessions you will be doing.
You need to each a lot of protein filled foods also, such as lean meats, nuts, tuna and eggs.
Most bodybuilders consume at least 3,000 calories each day which they spread into 5 or 6 smaller meals.
You also need to eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, as well as good complex carbohydrates like whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, brown rice and oatmeal.
Eating this way will help keep your body fueled while you are working out.
One mistake that some bodybuilders make is that they overdo the muscle building and cannot move well.
They are not flexible; they cannot tire their shoes or raise their arms over their heads.
You have seen these guys at the gym, and it is kind of sad really.
You want to look natural, buff and rock hard but you still need to be able to move around freely and live your life! Many people now believe that by lifting heavier weights with a shorter number of repetitions, you will actually build muscle faster since you are stressing the muscle fibers even more.
Think of it this way: you can either lift a weight 25 times or 5 times, but it all depends on the heaviness of the weight itself.
How do you want to make best use of your time? If you want to gain muscle mass fast, you must do the things that promote muscle development the quickest.
Remember, we are talking about shorter bursts of intensity instead of long, drawn out sessions at the gym lifting the same weight 100 times.
