How to Find Out What Motherboard You Have on Your PC

    Sandra

    • 1). Download the Sandra program (see Resources). Save the EXE file to your desktop. Double-click the EXE file to begin the installation process. Click "Next" to move past the welcome screen. Select the drive you want to install the program to (such as the C: drive). Click "Next." When prompted, place a check next to "Launch the Sandra program" and click the "Finish" button.

    • 2). Double-click the "Mainboard Information" icon. Sandra will begin collecting your hardware information.

    • 3). Find motherboard details when the information is displayed. Your motherboard's manufacturer will be listed, along with the specific model and version you have installed.

    Everest

    • 1). Download the Everest program (see Resources). Save the EXE file to your desktop. Double-click the EXE file to begin the installation process. Click "Next" to move past the welcome screen. Click the "Next" button twice. The program will begin installing. When prompted, place a check next to "Launch the Everest program" and click the "Finish" button.

    • 2). Click the "+" icon next to Motherboard in the left side bar.

    • 3). Find the details in the information when it is displayed. Your motherboard's manufacturer will be listed, along with the specific model and version you have installed.

    Hwinfo32

    • 1). Download the Hwinfo32 program (see Resources). Save the EXE file to your desktop and double-click it to begin the installation process. Click "Next" to move past the welcome screen. Click the "Next" button twice. The program will begin installing.

    • 2). Place a check next to "Launch the Hwinfo32 program" and click the "Finish" button. Wait while Hwinfo32 collects your hardware information. This may take a few minutes.

    • 3). Read the information when it is displayed. Your motherboard manufacturer and model will be listed under the Motherboard/Model section.
