- Budget-friendly Comfort Inn offers rooms with king-sized or double beds. Some king rooms have two-person whirlpool tubs. The two-story motel, located near exit 5 on Interstate 81 has a seasonal outdoor pool and provides hot breakfast daily. Comfort Inn's "Story Starts Here" package includes accommodations and two tickets to the historic Barter Theatre. Dining options near the motel are limited to fast food, but a number of chain restaurants are two miles away at exit 7. Pets are not allowed at Comfort Inn.
- This five-story Marriott property, located at exit 7 on Interstate 81, offers a selection of rooms that range in price from moderate to expensive. Amenities include rooms with whirlpool tubs and balconies and an outdoor patio with a gazebo and fishpond. The Courtyard Café is open for breakfast seven days a week and an IHOP is within a short walk. Outback Steakhouse, adjacent to the hotel, serves steaks and seafood and has a full bar. Courtyard Bristol has a no pets policy.
- Flo's Hideaway, located in a restored 1887 federal-style home in Bristol's Solar Hill Historic District, is a bed and breakfast with five guest rooms. Each individually decorated room has a private bath. The NASCAR Room, only available during special race events, features race posters, checkered flag décor and a fireplace. Rates range from moderate to expensive. The bed and breakfast is located two blocks from the venue for the annual Rhythm and Roots Reunion. Pets are welcome in some rooms for an additional nonrefundable fee.
- The family-owned Budget Host Bristol, a one-story motor court motel on the Virginia side of the street that provides the border for Tennessee and Virginia, offers economical rooms with either one queen or two double beds. Rooms at the motel, renovated in 2002, have cable television and mini-fridges. The motel offers guests a limited continental breakfast. Dining options farther west on State Street include coffee houses, restaurants and a supermarket. Pets are not welcome at Budget Host Bristol.
