- 1). Place your right arm over the center of the ukulele body, with the strings facing away from your body. The back of the ukulele should rest against your abdomen. Hold the neck of the ukulele between your left thumb and left index finger, near the string spacer.
- 2). With your left index finger, hold down the bottom (or "A") string on the second bar of the ukulele neck, between the first and second fret. Place your left thumb against the back of the neck, directly behind the second bar and in line with your index finger.
- 3). Move your middle finger to the second bar, between the first and second frets. With the tip of your left middle finger, hold down the "C" and "E" strings on the second bar, without touching the first or second frets.
- 4). Using the tip of your left middle finger, hold down the top (or "G") string on the third bar (located between the second and third frets). Try not to touch the frets or any unassigned strings.

Firmly press down all your fingers without touching any frets, the string spacer or any unassigned strings. Move your right hand to the center of the ukulele body and gently strum over all four strings to hear the Daug chord.
