The park offers fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the lake, and has watercraft for rent at the park office.
For saltwater anglers, the marina on the South Brunswick River has tidewater and pier fishing for landlubbers. Overnight docking at the boat ramp is free for campers.

Near Driftwood Beach and the fishing pier, this campground offers full hookup, pull-through RV sites complete with cable television, Wi-Fi and DSL Internet service.
Jekyll Island Campground also has a general store that sells camping supplies.

Crooked River has 62 tent, trailer and RV sites, a nature center, boat ramp and dock. Here, you can enjoy saltwater fishing, hiking, miniature golf and spend a few hours at the Colonial Coast Birding Trail.
The park is near the Cumberland Island National Seashore, Submarine Museum, golf courses and a national wildlife refuge.
