It is a best choice for those who like the outdoors.
It likes to play vigorously and helps out with pulling loads, sledding, and backpacking.
It is suitable for cold weather and should not be kept in hot climates.
Alaskan Malamute is a large, furry and rugged dog having a wolf-like appearance with a strong-willed mind.
Though it looks imposing due to its wolf-like appearance but it is friendly with others, so it is not suitable as a watchdog.
It requires vigorous physical activity.
If you do not provide it with sufficient opportunities for exercises, it might become destructive and howl loudly.
Though training this breed is quite challenging at times, but you have to provide enough challenging things to do otherwise it will get bored and may destroy your sofas, walls and yard.
It is very rowdy and energetic especially when it is young and tends to escape from its cage for adventure.
And once they escape, they do not come back upon calling.

When these dogs fight each other, it is usually a serious bloody fight.
