Travel To Barcelona For A Holiday With A Difference

For a holiday with a difference why not book your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN BARCELONA and start your journey from the Girona airport? This will allow you to travel the hundred kilometres to Barcelona while taking in some magnificent sites. There are a few low cost airlines that fly into the Girona airport such as Ryanair. To reach Barcelona there are a number of ways you can travel, all of which include public transport.

The most popular way to reach Barcelona from Girona is by bus which cost 12 Euros for a single journey or 21 Euros for a return ticket. Even though the bus company and Ryanair are two separate companies if seems as though the bus company follows Ryanairs schedule. That is to say that there is usually a bus at the airport waiting when the Ryanair plane arrives. This may not always be the case so it is better if you check with the bus company before you travel. This journey only takes an hour and the bus leaves from the front of the airport. The final destination for the bus is the Estacio d'Autobusos Barcelona Nord. From there you can reach the town's centre at the Arc de Triomf metro stop which is fifty meters away from where you disembark. When checking bus service to Barcelona don't get confused as there are two buses leaving Girona: one from the airport and one from the town centre.

If you have an affinity for trains, you can take a taxi from the airport for about 20 Euros to the train station. There is also the option of taking a bus from the airport to the train station but either way it will take about thirty minutes for the journey. By taking the train you will be able to see some fascinating countryside and ancient villages on your hour-long journey. The train will drop you off at the metro station in the centre of Barcelona.

If you would like to get a better feeling of the culture and countryside, why not hire a car for your journey to Barcelona? By hiring a car you can stop along the way and do what most tourists do: explore the villages you pass through. If you are going to hire a car, do it before you leave as there may not be one available or the price may be restrictive as it varies from one company to the next.

We don't even want to talk about hiring a taxi though as the cost is prohibitive at approximately 120 Euros for a one way journey. If you would like to stop along, the way look out the price just went up so be careful.

When you book your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN BARCELONA you have chosen a city that is second in size only to Madrid. Barcelona is a cosmopolitan city situated on the Mediterranean with a modern sea port for large ferries. Barcelona is an important cultural centre that encompasses everything that goes along with this status. It is also the party destination for the younger set on this part of the coast. With Barcelona being a seaside resort it goes without saying there is an array of water sports on offer on its pristine beaches. Whatever you are searching for while on holiday, it is to be found here in abundance.
