Spain attracts millions of visitors every year, driven by its attractions, scenic beauty and the warm pleasant climate. Garajonay National Park: Located on the island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands archipelago, the park was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1986. Spread across 3,984 hectares, the national park boasts stunning natural beauty amongst rocky vistas. About 70% of the park is covered in forest and springs. The presence of ocean mists assures the growth of lush vegetation. The tranquil haven attracts more than 450,000 visitors each year.

Fishing: The rivers and streams of the Pyrenees and the Picos de Europa provide plenty of opportunities for all types of fishing. However, you have to get permits from the regional authorities.

Green valleys of Asturias: The Northern Province with its picturesque fishing villages and green valleys boast strong Celtic roots complete with cider culture and bagpipes.

Madrid: Spain's beautiful capital is a haven for the art enthusiasts. You can visit the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia for modern art. The museum also houses Picasso's famous Guernica. While in Madrid, you can also visit the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid's Royal Palace, and Madrid's historic square, the Plaza Mayor.

Mérida: Get a bit of the Roman flavour in this town that boasts stunning ruins and also an impressive Roman museum. The town is also famous for its local wines and produces some of the country's finest ham.

Monasteries: The north of the country is home to some magnificent Romanesque and Gothic architecture. You can visit San Juan de la Peña in the Pyrenees, Soria's San Juan de Duero and Burgos province's Santo Domingo de Silos.

You can also indulge in a number of activities including fishing, hiking and mountain climbing. Then there are the world-class beaches to relax and take in the sun. No matter which part of the country you wish to holiday in, you will find a range of Spain villas to suit your tastes and requirements.
