- Be aware of the parking situation at the airport. Depending on the airport, you may have a bit of a walk from your car to the airport terminal. It is advised that you take this into account when preparing to leave for the airport.
- It is recommended by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that you arrive at least two hours prior to your domestic flight. Depending on the number of passengers your flight is serving, you may have to wait in line to check in for your flight and check your baggage. Most airlines require you to check in a minimum of 30 minutes before your flight. Even then, your checked baggage may not make it onto your flight.
- Depending on the current threat level the country is experiencing, you may have increased wait lines at the security checkpoint. Ensure that you follow all directions given so that you move through security at the optimum speed. Leave extra time for heavy travel periods, such as holidays.
