- Deleting your entire account is different than leaving a single blog, and can be done by visiting Tumblr's account deletion website at tumblr.com/account/delete. After entering your password to confirm, you may completely delete your Tumblr account.
- When you delete your account, your primary blog is completely removed, along with all of its content. This is an irreversible process, but will ensure that anyone looking for your blog will no longer be able to access it.
- You may sign up again and use the same URL as you did before. This won't bring back any of the content you had previously, and you'll need to start fresh. Also note that you can use the URL you used previously only if no one else has claimed it since you deleted it.
- If you no longer want to control a blog, consider leaving it instead of deleting your entire account. Leaving the blog essentially removes it from your control panel, meaning that you're no longer a contributor, but that the blog itself will still exist; if you were the only contributor, however, the blog will disappear. This ensures that you still have control over your primary blog as well as any others you may be a part of. If you made a mistake with your account or have problems that can't be rectified by your own user controls, consider contacting Tumblr's support staff or viewing their help pages (tumblr.com/help).
