- In order to be trained in circuit design, you can choose from several career paths. The first is in electrical engineering. It may also be possible to fashion a course program specifically as a circuit designer. Additionally, you may be able to integrate circuit design instruction in general studies as a budding electrician.
- This training and education demands ample classroom time. Courses will include electrical engineering, signaling and systems, electronics studies and possibly computer engineering. Many of the courses will include a focus on both digital and analog applications. For the layman, you can even purchase circuit design software on the net.
- You will want to peruse the course, program and department offerings of quality colleges, universities and trade schools. You will most likely find this information on university pages for departments of engineering. Community or junior colleges may offer enough credit time for an associates degree or prep you to finish a bachelor's in engineering at a four-year school.
