- 1). Turn off both the hot and cold water supply valves. These are usually located in the laundry room. Alternately turn off the water at the house main. Allow remaining water to drain from the faucet before continuing.
- 2). Pry the plastic cap off the top of the faucet handle with the flat-head screwdriver. Place this in the bowl.
- 3). Remove the exposed screw using either the Phillips screwdriver or the Allen wrench, depending on the faucet model. Place this in the bowl to keep from losing it.
- 4). Pull the handle away from the assembly.
- 5). Remove the stainless steel sleeve by pulling it straight up from the faucet assembly.
- 6). Remove the U-shaped clip, which holds the faucet to the assembly, by pulling it away from the faucet using the needle nose pliers.
- 7). Pull out the old faucet assembly.
- 8). Install the new faucet assembly by inserting it where the old assembly was removed.
- 9). Slide the U-shaped clip onto the faucet assembly.

Slide the stainless steel sleeve over the faucet. - 11
Slide the faucet handle onto the faucet. - 12
Tighten this with the screw using the hex wrench or Phillips screwdriver. - 13
Insert the plastic or rubber screw cap into the screw hole. - 14
Complete the installation by turning on the water supply valves located in the laundry room, or turn the water main back on.
